The Last Soccer Game
By: Emily
Today is my last soccer game against my dad’s friend. Her team beat us once and then we had revenge on them and we won. Her team is the toughest team we played this season. In the first half they scored two points and we were left behind with zero points. Since this is our last game my team was suppose to be trying all of our best, but in the first half of the game we were not doing so well. When the referee called time we were starting to get better at stealing the ball, guarding the opponents, and scoring. When I got the ball I passed it to Davis and he passed it back, then I sprinted passed the opponents and I scored a goal!! My team went wild and started to give me high fives.
It was the second half and we were doing awesome!! Karen almost made a goal twice, Davis stopped there goals from getting in, and Heather block the ball a ton. The parents watching were going crazy (especially mine!). In the middle of the last half Christian made an amazing goal. When he kicked it, it soured over the opponent’s heads and over the goalie’s head, then it flew into the goal like a bird souring through the air. It went over three of the other team’s heads and in my opinion it was the best goal I have ever seen. When the game was over the score was two to two. Both teams gave each other a high five for a good game. That was the end of the game for the season. My dad said it was the best second half of the whole season.

I love soccer,
I can hear the coach scream my name as I score a goal,
I can hear the scream fans as we run down the field,
I can see the soccer ball as it comes to my feet,
I can see the opposing team charge at me,
I can taste the victory as we lead three to one,
I can taste the water as I run to the side line for half time,
I can feel the ball as it hits my shin guards,
I can feel the pressure as I kick for a goal,
I can smell the grass as I sprint to pass the ball,
I can smell the sweat of my team after we won the game.
As the dog awoke he looked astonished as he figured out he was in the middle of a forest. He was a full grown golden retriever, his coat was messy and his yellow coat has a dull golden color. It looked like he just rolled in a dumpster. He had sort of a limp in his right leg. As he caught his balance he lunged him self up.
When he looked behind him he saw a crate that probably he was carried here. He started to take a step when he saw a black shadow in the distance. Than in a blink of an eye he was gone. The dog was wide eye, then he heard a sound and he ran so fast he fell.
As he walked farther into the forest he saw a boy. He ran toward the boy and he startled him when he barked. The boy’s name is Nathan. Nathan looked for a tag on him, and when he couldn’t find one he named him Yellow. Nathan is a twelve year old boy who seems to be lost in the forest also. He was wearing ragged torn clothes like he has been lost for a week. They were becoming friends while they were walking in the forest. They knew each other like they were family. When they get out of here Nathan would take Yellow home. Tears came to his eyes as he was thinking about is family back home.
They walked farther into the forest and they came to a dead end. It was blocked by a huge rock wall. So they went the other way and came to a tree trunk that crosses through a trench. As they were crossing they heard helicopter propellers in the distance. They were saved! When it came they took Nathan and they left Yellow. Nathan’s eyes were filled with tears as they flew away.
A week later Nathan was home, as he looked outside and started to call Yellow’s name. He started to run around to look for him because he knew that he was coming back. As he was called inside he heard a slight bark in the distance. It was Yellow! Nathan was so happy that he was back that he ran toward him. They were a family at last!!
